Moxie Ladies,
Over forty years ago, I lived in Georgia near an army base with my first husband. Yes, ladies, I have been married before, and like many young couples, we struggled financially. Although we had enough to get by, there wasn’t anything left at the end of the month. I can visualize many of you nodding your heads, knowing what this is like.
I didn’t have much to wear back then. On the day of my baptism, I wore a pair of white shorts and a white shirt. Pretty much what I wore on most days, can you imagine what I quickly learned? Yep, that’s right, when wet, white can be somewhat see-through. Oh my!
Growing up, I did not have a good relationship with my Mother. She never taught me some of the basics of being a woman. Like wear a bathing suit to your baptism, silly girl, and cover it up with something black! Hehee
Needless to say, I publicly confessed Jesus as my Lord, took the plunge, and I’m never going back. Smile.
Ladies, baptism is spoken of in the New Testament seventy times. It must be very important to our Lord. This scripture is one of my favorites:
Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
If you haven’t taken the plunge…consider doing it soon. Talk to your clergy or a leader in the Body of Christ. It can be a friend. It doesn’t have to be fancy. Just do it!
I love you, ladies!
With Love ♥️ & Moxie,
Kel
