Hi Moxie Ladies,
I just returned home from a fabulous trip with my daughter.
She is the ultimate travel curator. We traveled at a quick pace through three countries. England, Italy and Switzerland.
Think eight days and some very big blisters!
As we rode buses, trains, and subways, I noticed a wide range of diversity, unlike the “White Bread” town I reside in.
The people sat shoulder to shoulder, thigh to thigh, some even with their pinkies touching.
The beauty of it all, ladies, they were not divided by the color of their skin.
Men rose from their seats to offer their seats to the elderly or mothers with babies. People held doors open and helped with luggage.
By the end of my journey, I noticed that I was different. The tightness and fear I had started the trip with had dissipated. I felt free.
I felt a part of the world in a way I never had before. The gift of this trip…I had chosen to melt in with the God-breathed humanity.
Please take some moments this week to honor and love your neighbors. Help them where you see a need, and be grateful for the differences.
We can learn so much from each other. Can’t we?
